Nicosia, November 5, 2026 (TAK): TRNC President Tufan Erhürman, Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides and UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy to Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar will meet on Monday, November 9, in the UN-controlled area of Nicosia.
The meeting at the official residence of the Head of the UN Mission in Cyprus will start at 11.00.
Holguin has already met with the leaders twice since arriving on the island as part of preparations for the planned tripartite meeting. She was upbeat about the outcome of the forthcoming meeting in her statements.
During her stay, the Envoy also met with representatives of technical committees and political parties. Furthermore, she visited Turkey’s Ambassador to the TRNC, Ali Murat Başçeri, in Nicosia, while she later stated that her visit was related to conveying a message from Turkey to the Greek Cypriot Leader.
